I would try a small amount on a concealed area. If the car has a clearcoat finish you can buy special scratch removers in any auto store that hides the scratch with a tinted clear coat sealer.Is it safe to use scratch removers on a 03 model's car body paint?
Make sure the label say its compatible for clearcoat paints. I have used it. Best results is with a buffer, lots of patience, it take about three attemps to remove scratch.
