What to do / look for after car has been repaired at body / paint shop?

My car was hit in the rear passenger side. I'm picking it up tomorrow from the body shop. What sorts of things should I look for to see if the repair has been done correctly? What to do / look for after car has been repaired at body / paint shop?
check and see if you can tell where the new and the old paint meet up ,also look for high spots in the body work or low spots, look for any over spray that might have gotten on trim or anything,if you can get a side view of it,make sure, there's no sanding marks showing up in the paint,if you don't see none of this you should have a pretty good job done on it,look at it real good in the outside light also fluorescent lights will change the way things look, good luck on it i hope it turns out ok.What to do / look for after car has been repaired at body / paint shop?
Make sure they guarantee their work. Check the fit and finish in all kinds of light to make sure it looks correct. Don't leave with it unless you are 100% satisfied.
Screw mechanics and auto body repair guys, they're all freaking crooks!!!

I had my 02 explorer put in for damage to the passenger front side. There was a 2 inch gap between the side marker and the fender. there was paint all over the wheel well trim, they saudered 2 ends of my headlight wiring together, with out splicing it, they blew my undercarriage neons, the hood was not aligned correctly, the paint was off by about 2 shades, and to top it all off, the emblem on the side door was about as straight as richard simmons. Oh and also the fender trim was not flush with the fender, so when i took it back they told me there was a dent underneath the trim and they weren't going to fix it (keeping in mind this was new trim, no scratches, no scuffs, NOTHING).

DUDE!!!!

anyway check for small things like that, because most of the time what they will do is fix what is neccessary, and screw up the rest of the accessories.

good luck man and i hope you dont get screwed like i did.
check the gaps between panels, make sure the doors close properly, feel for evenness, look from the side at it to make sure the paint matches the old paint around it. A common problem that isn't fixed after a side impact is something called ';dog-legging';. You can notice when you drive the car that it wants to go one direction and you have to constantly correct it by turning the other way.
