What kind of paint should I use for body painting?

Can I use acrylic? I want to make sure it's not toxic but also affordable.

thanks,What kind of paint should I use for body painting?
There is paint made specifically for the body that you can buy at craft store and art stores. I got some a Michaels. Finger paints or those that are noted as non-toxic would work but they are not recommended and can cause allergic reactions if they are used on a large area of the body or face. What kind of paint should I use for body painting?
DONT USE ACRYLICS! They are really hard to get off and some colours contain harmful/ cancerous pigments, there is a non-toxic acrylic body paint avalible in some art stores though. Use 'face paint' or tempra (the stuff kindergardners use to paint with) both are guaranteed to be non-toxic. Both are usually avalible at art stores, toy stores, and dollar stores.
Yes, don't use acrylic. Our company sells body art paints for airbrush tattoos and body art. Body art paint are specially formulated for use on the skin. You can buy 1oz for $7.60.

i would use watercolor pencils for several reasons.

u can get into fine detail.

u can sharpen the pencil or dull it.

its SO much easier than a paint brush.

u can make thick bold lines or thin fine lines.

u can color in large areas and even shade (just use the side of the pencil, not the very tip).

all u do is wet the skin area with a sponge and then use the pencil like u would drawing a picture on a piece of paper.

its easy to fix mistakes. just take a q-tip, wet it, and erase the part u want to redo.

its easy to get off too. just some soap and water.

oh and if ur lucky enough to find a glitter pencil, u can spread it on the skin before u apply the regular watercolor pencil and ur whole body will look all shimmery and pretty.

and i think a pack of like 12 pencils is only 3 dollars.

u can find them in art stores =]

ha yeah hopefully ive persueded u enough to go buy some. and of course u can use them to paint some watercolor paintings too. good luck
I would say liquid latex, expensive, but it stays on for a very long time. Finger paints are non-toxic. Also holloween cream make up.I would not recommend the acrylic.
