I am repainting my car a different color than the factory one. I have a body kit and front fenders.Should I paint my body kit first or put it on my car and then paint it?
Paint your body kit first. Thats the right way to do it. One more thing, if you dont know anything about painting cars, dont do it yourself.Should I paint my body kit first or put it on my car and then paint it?
IF you're going to use the EXACT same paint for both, I would paint the kit, and fenders off the car.
If you don't have enough paint for both right now, put them on then paint it.
It's a real Bi%ch to mach paint afterwards.
a live in orange -country ,
a want to paint may car, but i don't have so much money
do you know a place?
put it on the car first then paint it so u get the whole car at the same time %26gt;.%26lt;... u dont want the paint colors to fight each other (old paint versus new paint) not a good outcome %26gt;.%26lt;
I have seen it done both ways, I would say it all depends on the kit. If you paint it before, make sure you use masking tape to protect your car when installing the kit.
Fit the body kit to the car. Make sure everything is lined up and fits correctly. Take the kit back off and paint the car and kit seperately. you want to do this so the car is painted completely and you dont have any edges that can start the paint peeling or flaking. You cant get the body clean and dry enough with the kit in place. You want to fit the kit first so you wont be scratching it against the new paint trying to get it in the right position. You will just put it back on where the hole are lined up.
