What happens when you leave body paint on for too long?

Just was wondering because I read that your not supposed to leave it on for long but it never said what would happen if you stay in it for longer.What happens when you leave body paint on for too long?
It can stain your skin temporarily.What happens when you leave body paint on for too long?
You may get skin problem
